Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
Style: Disco, Funk
Pros: First Daft Punk album in a while.
Cons: It's hard to live up to Homework and Discovery.
Overview: Those of you expecting Electronic Dance Music from the famed duo will be sorely disappointed. Random Access Memories belongs in the early 80s late 70s time frame. Upon first listen, you are taken back... and like "what's going on here." Some songs hit the spot, others are weird, and the rest feel like you're too young to get it. All, I can say is that though it's not as impactful as Homework and Discovery, Random Access Memories is a lot more memorable than Human After All. It's also a good break from the over abundance of EDM in Pop culture today. The kids probably wont like it... but after a few listens, it starts to grow on you.
Top Songs: Get Lucky, Instant Crush, Doin' It Right, Lose Yourself to Dance, Contact
