5 Hottest Rising DJs of 2012

So this was a tough list to create because initially I had a top ten... but that top ten could pretty much be a top 12, 13 or even 14 (hey! there were a lot of break out DJs this past year). Anyways, I narrowed it down to the top 5, because when it came down to it, these DJs made the most headway this year.  They have broken through to the top layer, and have proved in 2012 that they are the next big thing... or now already are.

Here are the 5 Hottest Rising DJs of 2012.

5) Nicky Romero Toulhouse, Wild One Two (with David Guetta and Sia), Metropolis (also with Guetta), Like Home (with Nervo) and countless of other collabs, Nicky Romero had a big year.  Teaming up with Guetta definitely helped escalate his career.
4) Alesso Umm... let's see, Calling (with Sebastian Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder) and City of Dreams (with Dirty South) and Years (feat. Matthew Koma) were three of the biggest songs of the year. Oh yeah, and let's not forget his anthem remix of Keane's Silenced by the Night. This guy is on fire right now.
3) Porter Robinson 2011 opened the door.  2012, Language knocked it out the ball park.  Complextro, here it comes. Spent most of 2012 touring everywhere from Coachella to Creamfields to UMF to EDC to ADE to Electric Zoo, He's been busy.  Hopefully he's taking some time off and creating more music for us to enjoy.
2) Madeon The youngest on this list... he truly has a unique and very polished sound for his age.  His remix of Martin Solveig's The Night Out, turned it into an anthem.  While his originals Icarus, Finale, and The City also received huge notice... Has caught the attention of Lady Gaga, and is currently on tour with her... and quite possibly doing a few tracks for her next album, also.
1) Zedd If you don't know who Zedd is by now, I don't have anything to say to you. Released his debut album Clarity in 2012, which includes the huge hit Spectrum, which actually made it over to Pop radio. Also, his teaming up with Justin Bieber on Beauty and a Beat, helped raise his stake in the Pop land.  Oh yeah, and like Madeon, has caught the attention of Lady Gaga, as well as Katy Perry, and is probably cutting a few tracks for them as well.
