So, Coachella 2011 is over and done... Sold out in 6 days. Goldenvoice doesn't even have to book huge headliners anymore...

Well, It's never too early to get a head start on the rumored artists, bands that will play in Coachella 2012. The year the world ends (according to a movie). And yes, most of this is all here say, but that's what we love. Anyways, on to the rumored line up of Coachella 2012:

David Bowie
Coachella's been trying to get him to play for years... would be the ultimate artist to watch at Coachella if 2012 is indeed the end of the world.

Daft Punk
Were asked to play for 2011, but said that their production wasn't ready. I could see them on the main stage, since The Chemical Brothers closed out Friday night there.

Radiohead
New album released in 2011... also haven't played at Coachella since 2004. Their April is getting a little crowded around Coachella so???
Tour dates in April 2012 (so far) are the 13th, 17th and 18th in Mexico City.

Justice
Announced 2012 tour:
04/17 – Oakland, CA @ Fox Theater
04/19 – Las Vegas, NV @ The Pool, The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas
04/24 – Portland, OR @ Roseland Theater
So they are going to be in the area during the Coachella weekends.

Underworld
Was a heavy rumor to play at Coachella 2010 and 2011, but didn't. They played at a HARD Los Angeles even instead.

Queens of the Stone Age
A new album coming out in 2011... also live right down the street from Coachella (almost literally).

Arctic Monkeys
New album on the way in 2011.

Foo Fighters
New album out in 2011... although they might be more Weenie Roast, they have played Coachella before. Coachella weekend dates are still open.

Incubus
Again maybe more Weenie Roast... but they're music may be more mellow enough for Coachella, and they have a new album out in 2011

The Knife
I'm not even sure if they've played at Coachella before, but I know Fever Ray has... They would be an awesome fit. New album, possibly in 2012?

Beastie Boys
New album out in 2011... Seems like the ultimate comeback appearance at Coachella.-- Looking less likely now (but still a possibility), as they will be in Cleveland, for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony on April 14th.

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Announced 2012 tour dates... omission of any California dates so far, and no tour dates in April so far.-- Also, will be in Cleveland on April 14th... so a maybe, maybe not.

M83
Busy schedule, but playing in San Francisco on April 22... Coachella dates are open so far.

Bjork
Even though she's played Coachella a lot, nothing on schedule (so far) in April.

Little Dragon
There is a big blank in their schedule from Ultra Music Festival(March 23) to Sonar Brazil (May 11).

James Blake
April touring is wide open.

Porter Robinson
The hot new rising DJ producer of the moment (something Coachella is privy of getting) has nothing in the books for April.

Calvin Harris
Has only one date set in April and that's on the 7th in Brasil.

Foster the People
Really busy schedule, so may not happen... But Coachella dates are open.

Friendly Fires
Only one date in April and that's also the 7th in Brasil.

Band of Horses
The two Coachella weekends are open in their schedule.

Bassnectar
Also open dates during the Coachella weekends.

Nero
The month of April is wide open.
