10 Most Overplayed Songs of 2010

It was a productive year for music; lots of overplayed music to choose from... that is... Many songs gained quick and massive radio attention. Songs that I once liked, were quickly killed to death thanks to the radio. "Couldn't you just change the station?" I did and there were the sames songs again... There was no escape, unless I just turn on my iPod.

There may be some surprise omissions to this list (like no Lady Gaga... "Wait, no Gaga?" You heard right, no Gaga.), but for the most part you wont be surprised at all, because you, like me, have heard these songs way, way too much.

Here are the 10 Most Overplayed Songs of 2010:

10) Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind
Yes, this this song came out in 2009 (late 2009 in fact) but it managed to spill over to the beginning of 2010. I liked this song, until every radio station decided to play it all the time.



9) Taio Cruz - Dynamite
It was a toss up between this and Break Your Heart, but I think this edges it out just a bit.



8) Lady Antebellum - Need You Now
One of those songs you forgot that it was played on the radio all the time... good for Country music I presume. (I don't know what's up with their Youtube embedding)



7) Justin Bieber - Baby
I actually haven't heard this song on the radio all that much. However, I've heard it pretty much everywhere else.



6) Neon Trees - Animal
Second half of 2010, way too much airplay.



5) Bruno Mars - Just the Way You Are
Also, made my most Annoying Songs of 2010 list...



4) Ke$ha - Tik Tok
Do I care that I have to keep spelling her name with a "$" sign?



3) Katy Perry - California Gurls
Definitely the most overplayed song of Summer 2010 and then some. (EMI is terrible at embedding videos)



2) Usher - OMG
OMG! Usher made this list?



1) Train - Hey, Soul Sister
One of those songs that managed to barely stay off my overplayed lists throughout the year, but has been overplayed for the longest time. This song was released in 2009 too, and 2010 managed to play it soo much more.
