Joel and Ethan Coen's follow up to their Oscar winning No Country for Old Men, has them returning back to their quirky style that we've all come to know. And back are the kooky, douche bag characters that light up the Coen brothers' world. It has an incredible cast that includes John Malkovich, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and Brad Pitt. They all play their part well, and make for very interesting characters.
However, what disappointed me about this film, is that when it was over, I had that queasy feeling in my stomach that left me unsatisfied. I didn't feel any better or worse after just watching this film. The problem is that Burn After Reading pretty much goes nowhere. It's like everything happened in the film because of nothing. Because these characters are douche bags. The movie is entertaining, and flows well. But the very bland story just doesn't really satisfy anything beyond that.
