Into the Wild is one of those movies whose message sinks into your head long after you've seen it. It makes you question the cage that society creates for itself by examining the freedom and simplicity of just living. Director, Sean Penn does a great job bringing to life Jon Krakauer's novel, showing that he cares to relay this pertinent message.
Going into this film, I thought it would be a long and boring movie. Yes, it is long (coming in at 2 1/2 hours), and it does move slow (sorry no Michael Bay mish-mash here), but it does so in a way to envelop us in the life of the main character (Emile Hirsch).
I think every twenty something should see this film, as well as older adults, because its theme may bring new revelation to your life or may at least get you thinking.
